In addition to the more permanent ministries of the Sisters, such as
the hospitals, members have been and continue to be involved in domestic
and foreign ministry work. Christ's healing mission is the heart and inspiration
of the Hospital Sisters missionary work.
Over the years, the Sisters of the American Province have responded
to appeals to meet the needs of the poor and alleviate the distress of
troubled peoples. They live, work and volunteer in communities throughout
the world.
Leaving all for the sake of the Gospel is the essence of the missionary
call.
