Everyone is called to live a happy worthwhile life of service to others and God has a plan for each person. This plan is revealed by prayer, discernment, and considering the options under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In a recent edition of Horizon magazine, Father Don Senior wrote "Healing, then as now, is not only physical transformation--and Jesus was surely dedicated to that--but healing also involves the dissolving of isolation and exclusion which the sick in traditional societies, but also in our own, characteristically experience."

As a Community with a healthcare legacy for more than 140 years, we realize that the concept of healing has many meanings. We invite you to learn more about being Christ's healing presence. Please click here.

We're active with Catholics On Call - an organization in Chicago that supports Catholic young adults (ages 18-30) as they strive to discover God’s call in their lives, and explore the possibility of a life of service in the Church. A national vocation discovery program of the Bernardin Center at Catholic Theological Union, Catholics on Call is dedicated to helping young adults from diverse backgrounds explore a call to ministry in the Church and to learn about leadership roles as lay ecclesial ministers, men or women religious, or ministry as ordained deacons or priests.

This prayer is what we often pray because it reminds us of our Franciscan vocation to be of service to the sick and poor. May you also find wisdom and light.

Most High Glorious God,
enlighten the darkness of my heart,
Give me right faith, a certain hope and
a perfect charity.

Grant me insight and wisdom so that I can always carry out your holy and true command.

We invite you to contact us and discuss your questions about our religious community and your potential vocation. Meanwhile, please know that we pray for you as you discern what God has planned for you.
